The Egyptian Pharaoh : Ramesses II in the light of The Holy Bible and The Holy Quran

Ramesses II, the Egyptian Pharaoh1  was from the time of the Prophet Moses (peace be upon him)
Points to be noted:
  • His body is estimated to be over 3000 years old.
  • His body was discovered by the Red Sea in 1898.
  • But the Quran is over 1400 years old.
Furthermore: No other text tells the story of the Pharaoh and drowning.
The Quran narrates the story of pharaoh's drowning and ensures the safety of his body after his death to be a sign to mankind.
Professor Maurice Bucaille2 couldn't believe his own ears and started to wonder: How can a book existed 1400 years ago speak about the mummy that was only found 111 years ago, in 1898? How can that be possible while the ancient Egyptian heritage was discovered only a few decades ago and no one knew about it before?

Professor Maurice Bucaille1 sat down pondering on what he was told about the book of Muslims, The Holy Quran while his holy book (The Bible) narrates only the drowning of Pharaoh without saying anything about his body.
-"Is it possible that this mummy in front of me is the one who was chasing prophet Moses?"
-"Is it possible that the Prophet Muhammad knew this 1400 years ago?"
Professor couldn't sleep that night till they brought him the old testament where he read:
"And the waters returned and covered the chariots and the horseman and all the host of Pharaoh that came into the sea after them; they remain not so much as one of them"(Exodus 14:28) 
"But overthrew Pharaoh and his host in the red Sea: for is Mercy endureth forever." (Psalm 136:15) 
"For the horse of Pharaoh went in with his shares and with his horseman into the sea, and the Lord brought again the waters of the sea upon them, but the children of Israel went on dry land in the midst of the sea." (Exodus 15:19)
Professor was surprised that the holy book The Bible did not mention about the destiny of the body and that it will be saved.
When the scientist was done with the mummy, France returned it to Egypt, but professor Maurice Bucaille couldn't rest for a moment since he was told that Muslims know about the safety of the body from the holy Quran. So, he decided to travel and meet anatomy Muslim scientists and there he spoke about his discovery of the safety of the mummy after its death in the sea and so on.
one of the Muslim scientists stood up and simply open the holy Quran and pointed to the professor at one verse:
 "We brought the children of Israel across the sea and Pharaoh and his troops pursued them out of tyranny and enmity.then when he was on the point of groaning he said I believe that there is no god but Him in whom the children of Israel believe. I am one of those who submitted to God(Allah in Islam). What now and indeed you disobeyed before and you're of the mischief-makers. this day shall we save you in your body that you may be assigned to those who come after you but very many among mankind are neglectful of our signs."(Holy Quran 10:90-92)
Professor Maurice Bucaille was struck when he read that and immediately stood in front of the crowd and said loudly "I believe in Islam, I believe in the Holy Quran."

  1. Pharaoh or Fir'awn was a mighty tyrannical ruler who greatly persecuted the Bani Israil (Children of Israel). Musa (upon him be peace) was sent to invite him towards the truth but he rejected his teachings, considering himself to be God. Musa (upon him be peace), accompanied by his brother Harun (upon him be peace) and Yusha (upon him be peace) led the Bani Israil out of Egypt, Fir’awn and his army pursued them but were drowned in the Red Sea.
  2. Maurice Brucaille was a famous French medical doctor and author. He was given the french academy award in medicine. He was selected for doing research on the mummy of Merneptah(The Body of Pharaoh). After research, he, being a Christian he was aware of the story of Pharaoh in the Bible. Coming to Arab, he heard the following verse of the Quran(10:90-92). Later on at the age of 50, he learned Arabic as a language to understand the Quran. After all, he wrote the book "The Quran and Bible in the light of Science".He accepted Islam before his Death.
